Nwachalu Ekpecham ’13

The first game of the men’s basketball season took place last night- Holy Cross vs. Assumption College. It was my first time watching a Holy Cross basketball game and let me tell you…The Cross was on fire! OMG – The intensity on the court blew me away….Literally (Just kidding).

Hello There! Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Nwachalu (Wa-cha-low). Yes, I know- It’s a difficult name, so please feel free to call me by my nickname “Cha-cha.”  I am so excited to have you join me on this adventure, I would like to call “COLLEGE.” It seems scary at first, but I must admit – I LOVE IT! Before I get into details, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a freshman here – CLASS OF 2013!!! ( Oh Yea!!!!). I was born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY (A small town in Westchester County – Roughly about 30 minutes from the city). I went to an all girls’ catholic high school for four years, so attending a co-ed college is very different for me.

I’m not quite sure about what I want to major in yet so at this moment I’m undeclared. However, I am leaning towards English and/or History – Two of many subjects that I love! I realized it’s okay to be unsure of what you want to do.  Eventually, you will find something that you are passionate about, so don’t beat yourself up. I have Spanish class in about 10 minutes so I’ll definitely come back and write some more. I have so much to say…and it’s only been 2 months and 2 days. =]
